UBU Youth Work Coordinator
CDYS Fermoy – Full Time
Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services provide a range of Youth and Community services across the Cork and now wish to recruit a Youth Work Coordinator to support, lead and develop the current youth project in Fermoy Town.
We are seeking a qualified, motivated and capable youth worker with a flexible, positive and can do attitude.
The successful candidates will be involved in direct youth work, taking the lead with youth groups and working closely with the local volunteers and CDYS UBU Youth Project Team.
Applicants must have:
- A recognised third level qualification in Youth Work
- Minimum 1 year experience in youth and community work is essential
- Skills and experience in working with the target group and with locally based youth and community groups.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and networking skills.
- Experience of working with and supporting volunteers
- A high level of I.T and Administrative skills
A panel of qualified candidates may be formed from which temporary and permanent part-time and full-time youth work posts which arise in a specified period up to a maximum of12 months will be filled, should vacancies arise in this period.

From youth clubs and events, to serving on boards of management to fundraising, there are many volunteering opportunities with CDYS.
We welcome applications from people with a wide range of life experiences. As a volunteer with CDYS, you could find yourself playing pool with a young person, enjoying arts and crafts, speaking with teenagers at a youth cafe, giving tutorials or even exploring Europe!
If you have never volunteered or worked with young people before fear not- we provide ongoing support including a comprehensive Volunteer Induction Training while all our volunteers must complete a Child Safeguarding Awareness programme.

CDYS has an array of placement opportunities for secondary (Transition Year & 5th Year), Third level and international students.
Students can gain valuable experience in the youth work, education & training areas with CDYS’s many services & projects.
