On Saturday evening, in the Church of the Resurrection, CDYS Youth Choir took part in a Youth Mass. The Youth Choir had worked very hard preparing for this Mass and their commitment is to be commended under the guidance of Ms Sarah Finn.
The young people’s involvement really enhanced the Mass and going forward we would love to continue this work. The young people enjoyed a pizza party back in the Mallow Community Youth Centre and were joined by Archdeacon Casey.
We always need the involvement of our young people, adults, musicians. Anyone interested in being involved in our Church are more than welcome to join.

The ACTivate Club – which is a weekly support group for children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder and their siblings were delighted to receive a very generous donation last week from the Buachaill Dána Motor Cycle Club from CastleConnell in Co. Limerick.
On the 17th April 2016 the Buachaill Dána MCC held a poker run to raise money for the Activate Club in Mallow and for the Dochas Autism Club in Limerick. There was great excitement for the young people and the volunteers from the club that went to see all the motorbikes and some were even privileged to get to sit on some of the bikes. Last week some of the volunteers travelled to CastleConnell to receive a cheque for €2163.50. This will greatly enhance the activities in the club over the coming year.
CDYS & Alpha Ireland
CDYS are delighted to announce a new partnership with Alpha Ireland in developing and promoting pairsh based supports for young people in the exploring and developing of their faith throughout our Diocese. CDYS nurtures and encourage young people to reach their full potential, in a safe and supportive community and Alpha is a tool for evangelisation at the service of the local parish.
Alpha Youth Ireland (www.alphaireland.org) was established by Alpha Ireland in 2011 with the focus and vision to see youth ministry in Ireland become a major part of parish life for all. Alpha Youth are delighted to be working in partnership with Cloyne Diocesan Youth Services to help reach out to young people in the Diocese of Cloyne.
Alpha-Youth is a film series designed to actively engage students in conversations about faith, life and Jesus. It invites young people to explore the character and claims of Jesus in a fun, friendly & relaxed atmosphere where no question is too big or too small! Every session includes food, fun, film presentation and group discussion. It offers a safe & genuine opportunity for honest and open dialogue where young people can speak their minds about faith and God.
